My fitness journey is an unusual one. I didn’t find my way on to this path until the tender age of 35. I was never really interesting in sports or fitness as a kid. I was always the last to be picked for teams or the first to have a note excusing me from PE.  Like many of my generation I had a very dysfunctional upbringing and fell in to a very unhealthy lifestyle as a result. Sex, drugs and rock and roll sure seem okay at the time but takes it’s toll, mentally, physically and spiritually. I still like things loud occasionally, but I prefer quiet, calm on the inside these days.

Over the last ten years I have been cultivating a cleaner lifestyle which has taken me out of the bars and into the gym; Finding inner peace without the pints. What began as simply taking up running after giving up smoking ( I had all the bad habits ) has led to a whole new way of life and path of learning. Complementary to this physical fitness journey I have been focusing on spiritual and mental well being, as a student of yoga. In the winter of 2022 I took an extra step and trained with Rishikesh Nath Yogshala, India and qualified as a teacher of yoga. I also hold a level 3 Personal Trainer qualification and currently studying towards being a qualified nutritional advisor with the intention of providing a full service for your physical, spiritual and mental well being. As such I also offer a range of fitness consultation services. It’s never too late to begin and I particularly look forward to helping those who want to take their first steps towards a healthier quality of life, as those firsts steps are often the hardest.
